If you’d like, you can introduce us to your pet, share their story, or take a few moments in silence. We are here to respect your wishes, and we will stay as long as you need during this difficult moment.
Our collection process is handled with the utmost care and respect, ensuring your pet’s dignity is preserved.
Step 3: Return of Ashes and Memorialisation
After the individual cremation, we return your cat’s ashes in either the standard box or the urn you have selected. Additionally, you will receive a cremation certificate, paw print, lock of fur, and a name tag as keepsakes to remember your beloved cat. For those who wish to create a lasting tribute, we offer a free memorial page on our website where you can share memories, stories, and photos of your cat.
The loss of a pet can be as heartbreaking as losing a loved one. Cats, with their independent yet affectionate nature, leave a lasting imprint on our lives. Grief affects everyone differently, and it’s important to allow yourself the time to mourn. Some pet owners find solace in creating a dedicated space in their home to honour their cat, while others prefer to hold a small farewell ceremony before cremation. Whatever feels right for you, we encourage you to take the time you need.
Many pet owners choose to create a lasting tribute to celebrate their cat’s life. This could be a memory book, a framed paw print, or even planting a tree in their honour. Other thoughtful memorial ideas include:
When choosing a cremation service for your cat, it is essential to ensure the process is carried out individually. Some pet cremation providers offer communal cremations, where multiple pets are cremated together, meaning ashes cannot be returned to owners. At Mary Valley Pet Cremation, we prioritise individual cremation, guaranteeing that the ashes you receive belong solely to your beloved cat. This allows you to keep their memory close and have full peace of mind.
Saying goodbye is never easy, but choosing pet cremation allows for a respectful and dignified farewell. The ability to keep a pet's ashes, scatter them in a meaningful place, or create a lasting tribute often provides comfort to grieving owners. Having a tangible reminder, such as a paw print or lock of fur, can also help ease the pain of loss over time.
